Preparing the panel:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cul\u003e\r\n\t\u003cli\u003eSometimes a panel has fine over-spray left from spraying the clear-coat. \r\n\tThis needs to be removed by lightly sanding with a fine abrasive paper. All \r\n\tover-spray need to be sanded out up to P1500 grit.\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\t\u003cli\u003eThe panel should be washed when all spray-finishing defects have been \r\n\tremoved. Any dirt particles could cause scratch marks when polishing.\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\t\u003cli\u003eTight curves and ends of the panel should be masked-off to prevent the \r\n\teffects caused by point pressure. The polisher should always be used on flat \r\n\tsurfaces.\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e2. Applying the polishing compound:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cul\u003e\r\n\t\u003cli\u003eA five rand coin amount of polishing compound should be applied to the \r\n\tbuff. Switch the polisher to it's lowest speed setting.\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\t\u003cli\u003eSwitch on the polisher and gradually spread the polishing compound over \r\n\tthe panel.\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\t\u003cli\u003eKeep moving the polisher on the panel to have as little amount of \r\n\tpressure and friction.\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\t\u003cli\u003eThe polishing compound will remove the scratch marks caused by the P1500 \r\n\tsand paper and it will bring out an impressive gloss finish.\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\t\u003cli\u003eRemove the masking from the panels and apply the polishing compound to a \r\n\tmicrofiber cloth. Hand polish (by moving your hand in a small circular \r\n\tmotion) the tight curves and ends in the panels until the same finish is \r\n\tachieved as from the polisher.\u003c\/li\u003e\r\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e3.
