Concave Horseshoes - the word concacave is derived from the sloping or concave inner edge of the shoe as opposed to the vertical inner edge on conventional flat plates. The reason for the concave inner edge is it serves as a self cleaning device. The muck an dirt will scuff out and will not became impacted as with conventional vertical inner edge on a hack plate. It also allows for the groud surface of the shoe to be narrow than the foot surface hereby allowing for penatration of the foot on just about any surface, which is important in maintaining soundness of the joints over a long period of time.
