Product description
Festool D150 GR NET-Set Granat Net 150mm Abrasive Starter Set
At a Glance: Complete 150mm mesh-abrasive starter set with 60 Granat Net discs in six grit sizes from P60 to P320, plus two protection pads.
Discover the impressive sanding performance of Festool Granat Net with the D150 GR NET-Set. Developed especially for surfaces that generate large quantities of dust, the open mesh structure allows sanding dust to be extracted across virtually the entire disc surface. This helps reduce clogging, maintain a consistently high material-removal rate and create a cleaner working environment. The set contains ten 150mm discs in each of six carefully selected grit sizes, giving users a complete progression from coarse material removal through to refined finish sanding. Granat Net's linearly arranged abrasive particles deliver powerful cutting performance, while the stable, tear-resistant mesh construction and reinforced edges provide outstanding durability during demanding professional use. Two matching protection pads are included to create an effective connection between the mesh abrasive and sanding pad while protecting the fastener from dust, dirt and premature wear.
Unlike conventional perforated abrasives, Granat Net uses an open mesh construction that allows dust to be extracted across the complete sanding surface without needing to align a specific hole pattern. The result is less clogging, strong cutting performance and a cleaner finish on dust-intensive materials.

Extra Info
Extra Information
- The set contains 60 abrasive discs: ten discs in each of the six included grit sizes.
- Two PP D150 protection pads are included for installation between the abrasive and the machine's sanding pad.
- Compatible with Festool RO 150, ES 150, ETS 150, ETSC 2 150, ETS EC 150, LEX 150 and WTS 150 sanders.
- The protection pad should always be used with Granat Net to protect the sanding-pad fastener and provide secure disc retention.
- For the best dust-control performance, connect the sander to a suitable dust extractor and use the recommended extraction setting.
- The starter set provides a convenient opportunity to evaluate Granat Net across multiple surface-preparation stages.
Pro Tips
- Begin with the finest grit capable of achieving the required material removal to avoid creating unnecessarily deep sanding scratches.
- Progress through the grit sequence without skipping too many grades, particularly before applying fine paint or clear-coat finishes.
- Use light, even pressure and allow the abrasive and sander to perform the work; excessive pressure can reduce extraction efficiency and finish quality.
- Clean the surface between grit changes so that loose coarse particles do not create scratches during finer sanding stages.
- Inspect and replace the protection pad when its fastening surface becomes worn to preserve reliable abrasive retention.
How to Use
- Disconnect the sander from the power supply or remove its battery pack before fitting the abrasive.
- Fit one of the supplied PP D150 protection pads centrally onto the machine's clean 150mm sanding pad.
- Select the appropriate Granat Net grit for the material and required stage of surface preparation.
- Centre the mesh abrasive on the protection pad and press it firmly into place; no extraction-hole alignment is required.
- Connect the sander to a suitable dust extractor and select the appropriate speed and extraction setting.
- Place the sanding surface flat against the workpiece before guiding the machine with smooth, overlapping passes.
- Check the surface regularly and move progressively through the finer grit sizes until the required finish is achieved.
- Switch off the sander and wait for it to stop completely before lifting it from the workpiece or changing the abrasive.
Safety
Safety
- Wear suitable eye, hearing and respiratory protection during sanding operations.
- Use an appropriate dust extractor, particularly when sanding fillers, coatings, plastics or mineral materials.
- Check the applicable coating or material safety information before sanding potentially hazardous substances.
- Do not sand materials containing asbestos, lead or other hazardous substances unless suitably trained and equipped.
- Disconnect the sander from its power source before fitting, removing or inspecting the abrasive and protection pad.
- Replace torn, damaged or poorly secured abrasive discs before operating the sander.
- Keep the sander moving across the surface to prevent excessive heat build-up or damage to the workpiece.
- Follow all safety and operating instructions supplied with the sander and dust extractor.
