Extra Info
Extra Information
- Compatibility: Intended for the Tork Craft TCAG0115 angle grinder series.
- Common symptoms of switch/capacitor issues include intermittent power, no start, arcing at the switch, or a tool that only runs when the cord is moved.
- While servicing, inspect the power cord, terminals, brush holders and carbon brushes—electrical faults often have more than one cause.
- Route wiring exactly as original and ensure all insulation sleeves and cable guides are refitted to prevent chafing.
Pro Tip
- Before closing the housing, gently tug each spade/terminal connection to confirm it’s seated properly, then position wires so they cannot touch moving parts. After reassembly, do a short no-load test run and check that the switch action feels crisp and consistent.
Safety
Safety
- Wear eye protection and a dust mask when working inside the tool—carbon dust is messy and conductive.
- Disconnect power before opening the housing or fitting any electrical spare parts.
- Capacitors can hold charge—only a competent technician should handle electrical repairs, and components should be treated as live until proven otherwise.
- Ensure all wiring is correctly routed and insulated; pinched or damaged wires can cause electric shock, short circuits or fire.
- After repair, perform a no-load test run in a safe area and stop immediately if you smell burning, see heavy arcing, or hear abnormal noises.
