Extra Info
Extra Information
- Install the hose reel on a strong wall or solid mounting surface that can support the reel during use.
- Mount the hose reel close enough to the tap connection to avoid strain on the inlet hose and fittings.
- Always guide the hose back into the reel during retraction to help prevent twisting or uneven winding.
- Do not leave the hose under pressure when not in use. Turn off the tap and release pressure from the sprayer before storage.
- For longer service life, avoid dragging the hose over sharp edges, rough concrete or abrasive surfaces.
- Store or protect the reel from extreme weather where possible, especially during long periods of non-use.
Pro Tips
- Mount the reel at a comfortable height so the hose pulls out smoothly without scraping on the ground.
- Choose a central position that gives the 20m hose the best reach across the garden, driveway or work area.
- After use, walk the hose back toward the reel while retracting it. This helps the hose feed back evenly and prevents whipping.
- Flush the hose briefly before first use to clear any dust or residue from storage and transport.
- Regularly check the sprayer, couplings and mounting screws to make sure everything remains secure and leak-free.
How to Use
- Select a strong mounting position near a suitable water tap.
- Mark the mounting holes and install the bracket securely using suitable fasteners for the wall type.
- Attach the hose reel to the mounting bracket and make sure it is safely seated.
- Connect the inlet hose to the water supply and check that all fittings are properly tightened.
- Pull out the hose to the required working length.
- Use the sprayer to control the water flow for watering, rinsing or cleaning.
- After use, turn off the tap and release the remaining pressure through the sprayer.
- Guide the hose back into the reel carefully during retraction for neat and even storage.
Safety
Safety
- Mount the hose reel securely to a suitable wall or solid surface before use.
- Do not allow the hose to retract freely at high speed. Guide it back into the reel carefully.
- Turn off the water supply and release pressure from the hose before storage.
- Keep children clear of the hose reel during retraction and installation.
- Check fittings and connections regularly for leaks, wear or damage.
- Avoid pulling the hose around sharp corners or over rough surfaces that could damage the PVC hose.
- Do not use the hose reel for hot water, chemicals, compressed air or pressure washer outlet lines unless specifically approved for that use.
- Ensure the hose is not left across walkways where it may create a tripping hazard.
